The Old Court House Civil War Museum is a historic building with graffiti from both Northern and Southern soldiers which also houses a nationally recognized collection of over 3,000 Civil War artifacts.  Situated on the Loudoun Street Walking Mall in Old Town Winchester, Virginia, this Georgian style court house was used as a hospital, barracks and prison by both sides during the War.  For more on the history of the museum, please view our history page.   

Donations Cash donations, large and small, are always welcome.
Various projects are in need of funding, soldier graffiti interpretation windows, scrims used for window covering and light control, display cabinets, graphics and text presentation, educational and outreach programs, and more.

The Ridgeway Civil War Archive:

The Ridgeway Archive is a research record of various examples of Civil War artifacts authenticated, photographed and documented by Harry Ridgeway, including many of the artifacts included in the museum collection.  This is a research venue that is being developed, only a couple hundred artifacts are included at the moment, but it is the intention for this research venue to expand significantly in the next couple of years, so please come back and visit again.
