Location: From NE corner go south 53 inches, up 38 inches (Picture good)

The 6^th NY Heavy Artillery was at Wapping Heights on July 23, 1863, which is the campaign that seems to have bagged most of these Federal prisoners. It appears we have matches on the other two names also associated with this unit. Now we need to find out more about this unit and see if we can find any surviving battle flags or other reunion materials that may depict that bird or bee or whatever it is. Perhaps somebody out there has studied 6^th Heavy Artillery New York.
