Location: From NW corner go east 17 inches, up 84 inches (Picture good)
The 6th NY Heavy Artillery was at Wapping Heights on July 23, 1863, which is the campaign that seems to have bagged most of these Federal prisoners.
Civil War Data base indicates he mustered in 9/2/62 and mustered out 6/28/65 at Petersburg, Va So far nothing tying him to Winchester but all data seems to fit the information on the wall.
