This is third line:    "Capt Scofield 1^st Vermont captured near Hagerstown July 12"

Location: From SE corner go north 147 inches, up 36 inches

The 1^st Vermont Cavalry was in Hagerstown July 11 through July 13. A report dated October 24, 1863 prepared by Col. Edward Sawyer, then commander of the 1^st Vermont Cavalry reported that his force had advanced and occupied Hagerstown on July 12, 1863. The report states that on July 13, his unit encountered a strong enemy picket, "Captain Scofield (sic) led the charge. …. Led by Captain Scofield and Lieutenant Newton the boys absolutely "pitched in" to this charge. … In the charge Captain Scofield was wounded and taken prisoner"
