Inscription: Grouping of names of Gettysburg officers captured in the July 1863 pursuit of Lee. 
This is sixth line:    "Lt Kelley? 6th Michigan Cav Captured near Falling Waters July 14"

Location: From SE corner go north 147 inches, up 36 inches

The 6th Michigan Cavalry was at Falling Waters July 14

Military Record: Yes confirms capture at Williamsport Md July 14. Falling Waters is on the Virginia side (now West Va) of the Potomac across from Williamsport Md) Need to follow cross reference file "20074-US86" referenced on the file jacket.

Pension Record: Yes Invalid application 646421 Certificate 419316

Widow application 518638 Certificate 503650

Note printed obituary discusses capture and notes an escape with Lt John Norcross (File 18) and Captain Chas A Adams 1st Vermont, and Captain J E Love 8th Kansas.

Charles Adams was captured October 11, 1863 Brandy Station

Captain Love CWdata base makes no indication of capture. This unit served Western campaigns, so doubtful he was in Winchester.
