Location: From SE corner go north 117 inches, up 32 inches (Picture???
There is a regimental on 5th Virginia and it only says he enlisted 6/5/61 and deserted Nov 12 1863. They were at Robertson River that day but I have no idea where that is. For this guy to have been in 2 full years+, his career had to be more eventful than this. I am reasonably confident we got the right guy but it is not evident as to why he is on the wall of the courthouse.
Military Record: Yes, but it is very incomplete, need to pursue Virginia state archives
