Location: north of front door, first level narrow strip beside elevator (Picture???

This regiment was active in the pursuit of Jackson in spring 1862 and was likely present in Winchester after First Kernstown, March 23, 1862. This would have been a federal occupation, it is possible the regiment simply took up temporary quarters in the courthouse.

Civil War Database indicates this soldier was wounded 9/17/62 at Antietam. Confederates occupied Winchester following Battle of Antietam, so is doubtful he was in Winchester at this time.
